Byron Bay metal maestros From Crisis To Collapse have been strangely subdued of late.
Since decimating the senses of a generation of metal lovers with their album The Seventh Tree in 2019 the band has toured relentlessly on the back of that, but metal fans being the impatient and demanding people we are their loyal legion of fans were waiting – salivating even – for the release of the next chapter.

Synaescope.
Post-Hardcore, you know, that genre I’ve spoken about before where they try to be all heavy and shit but then sing real poppy shit over it to try and drag in the mainstream music fans? Well, at least that’s my take on it, the genre that is.
Apparently, these guys add some metal, rock and high-quality production into the mix too, so let’s see how this 5 trackEP titled Unalone plays out.

Well, fuck then! Isn’t this a fucking doozy! This may possibly be my shortest review yet, and possibly one of the shortest albums yet. Clocking in at a solid 23 min or so and containing 10 tracks and a very short, very murderous intro!
The opening and title track Unleash The Rage does exactly that, and holy fucking brutal! Dead In A Hot Tin Shed follows suit and is possibly even more brutal than the opening track.

And, at some point, you will stumble across AOR. Whether you stay for a while or scurry past is quite often linked to how many drinks you’ve had.
