Remote Airstrip Funding Program – Round 7 – On 27th September 2019, the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, the Hon Michael McCormack MP announced the seventh round of the Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program. The program provides funding to enhance the safety and accessibility of aerodromes in remote and very remote areas of Australia. The maximum grant amount is $3 million, however it is expected that most grants will not exceed $1.5 million. There is no minimum. The maximum project period is two years. Applications open on Tuesday 1 October 2019 and will close at 5.00pm AEDT on 12 November 2019. AusIndustry is delivering this program on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Cities.
