Summer Reading is Here!

Get ready for an eventful Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is All Together Now. The main library and all three branches have exciting programs and awesome take and make crafts. Be sure to sign up if you haven't yet!

Teen Events

Crime Scene Kitchen

Contestants enter a kitchen to solve a culinary mystery. They must analyze the remaining ingredients, utensils, and clues left behind at a mock crime scene to determine what dessert  was prepared there. The teams race against each other to uncover the correct dessert and explain to the judge how they came to the conclusion.

Monday June 5th - 1:30 pm only - Summer reading kickoff party with members of the Marion Local High School Band.

Monday, June 12th at 1:30 pm AND 3:00 pm. - Summer reading speaker and craft programs begin with Kelly Hemmelgarn of the Animal Protection League.  The craft will be cat bookmarks.

Tuesday, June 13th - 6:30 pm -Father's Day family night.  Craft is included.

Thursday, June 15th - 6:30 to 7:30 pm -  Lego night.  No age limit.  Parental supervision required as some pieces are rather small.

Monday, June 19th at 1:30 pm AND 3:00 pm.  -- Beekeepers (Ron & Carolyn Stucke).  The craft will be a feel good caterpillar.

Monday, June 26th at 1:30 pm AND 3 pm --Osgood Bank.  The craft will be robot banks.

Book Discussion

Tuesday, June 6th -- Book discussion in the library basement at 7 pm.  The book being discussed is The Address by Fiona Davis.  

The book for July will be Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris.

Thursday, June 15th at 1pm -- St. Henry Police will be here to talk about their jobs. They will also have their cruiser here to see and a K-9 officer to meet!

Thursday, June 22nd at 12:15pm -- The Grand Lake Mariners will be here to play games with us!

Monday, June 26th at 1:00pm -- The Huwer Family will be here to talk about farming! There will be a tractor to see and maybe an animal or two to meet!

Wednesday, June 28th - Sidewalk Chalk Day at the Library -- we will provide the chalk and you can provide the ART! Come and decorate the sidewalks around the library!
