Message from Rev. Aileen

Chanukkah celebrates two things: The miracle of one day's worth of oil lasting for eight days and the victory of Jewish freedom fighters over the Syrian-Greek forces that tried to wipe out Judaism in the second century BCE. The very practical immediacy of needing oil for ritual and the larger systemic victory remind us that we need to take care of the quotidian, the everyday, but also be reminded that there are structural challenges to which we can turn our energies to help create a more just world.

Mitten Tree

Bring hats, scarves, earmuffs, gloves, and mittens to decorate our Mitten Tree in the sanctuary!  The items collected will be donated to those in need in our community.

Let's completely cover the tree!

Missing: Long Black Raincoat
Have you found a raincoat?

On the night of the auction, Ellen Chaddha took off her black raincoat, and when she went to leave, she couldn't find it.  If you happened to have picked it up by mistake, please return it to the church coat rack.
