Hi Friends, 

The recent Bomb Cyclone left its effects in many places across the USA, from Boston to San Francisco. A sturdy-looking tree on the outside was taken down by the storm, and looks hollow on the inside.  As a recent client reflected, this is similar to some of our beliefs.  The voices of self-judgment are really hollow when you dissect them. The storm of "shoulds" is all just bluster. 

So, how do you break free from the negative voices?  

Get out of your head... 

Three ways to get out of your negative thought spirals

1. Get outside; appreciate nature, smell the air, listen for birds, watch the clouds. 

2. Focus on your breath. Slowing down your breathing and lengthening the exhale slows your heart rate and stimulates your parasympathetic nervous system. 

3. Journal. Write down all your thoughts (the thought download). Write a letter.  Write creatively. Draw.
