Libraries have been evolving for well over a decade, and the new Kennett Library & Resource Center displays this evolution in a powerfully inclusive way.
Of course, the Library will always be the place for anyone to borrow books, but now the additional spaces the new building provides allow the “Resource Center” to truly be just that, furthering the impact on even more in the community.
Celebrate the Grand Opening on August 27th, beginning at 1 pm with a ceremonial book pass down State Street, followed by a land acknowledgment by the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania, brief remarks by local dignitaries, and a ribbon-cutting. Then, enjoy exploring the library, as well as face painting, food trucks, and more.
