The remedy within each of us...
A friend was at a cross-roads.
Ageing, wondering how to make her dreams real.
When asked what she would regret not doing at her last breath, she thought for a long while before saying, "tending the earth."
We talked about the ways she loves on trees and the clear cut areas in her region.
We talked about the short ceremonies and gestures she does as her unique way of tending the earth.
And then she shared that the internal chatter, which says something like "help us!" stops when she does these things, as if the forest settles and says, "thank you."
I'm reminded that waking up to our life missions has everything to do with healing our worlds.
I believe we carry within each of us a remedy in our hearts, like the way nature seems to have a remedy for most illnesses. We just need to distill our remedy into a form that the world needs at this time. That distillation process also seems to help us wake up to our true self.
Begin with stillness, and asking, why am I here? what does my heart call me to?
