Dear Friends
We’re in the season of Easter, a time to focus on the resurrection of Jesus. This is at the heart of our faith - it’s not an optional extra – but what does it truly mean for each of us? We’ll be exploring this question in our Zoom service this Sunday. To help our exploration we’ll hear a dramatized account of the disciples on the road to Emmaus and then Jonathan Clatworthy will share some ideas and pose further questions.
You can share in the service in a variety of ways: live on Zoom via the internet or by phone (see details below) or watch a recording later on YouTube. As an experiment, if there’s anyone who can’t join the service live or access YouTube but can watch a DVD, I’ll send a recording on DVD to anyone who requests one from me.
At the end of this week’s service, some people will need to leave, others will want to chat in their church group but there’ll also be the option to continue in conversation with Jonathan and discuss the questions he’s raised for 15 minutes or so.
From this Sunday until the end of August, services will alternate online and in church with full details announced each week. Throughout the pandemic we’ve had to make decisions one step at a time. During the summer the pattern of services from September will be discussed.
Roger.
