3 Days Left to Back Our Kickstarter!

We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for our Equip the Madison Circus Space Kickstarter. As of December 9, 181 backers have pledged $22,562 (90% of our goal!)! This is incredible and we are so excited about the fantastic things we will be able to fill our Circus Space with -- things like mirrors, rigging systems, mats, and even toilets!

Some of the perks of backing this project include circus stickers, mugs, and leggings, as well as VIP show tickets, and an MCS artist improv just for you!

There's still time to back this project! This is an all-or-nothing campaign and the deadline is Friday, December 14, 4:04pm!

Spinsconsin Events hosts a monthly traveling flow jam and workshop (last Saturday of every month), an online community space (Spinsconsin), and a weekly newsletter on the WI/IL and Midwest region. Sign up for our newsletter by emailing spinsconsin@gmail.com.

Dizzy Dynamic Hoop Workshop

This workshop is geared towards intermediate - advanced hoopers but there will be something for everyone! This workshop will cover: 
•coinflips
•jawbreakers
•body rolls
•transitions
•combo creation
And some requests!

Acro and Slack Jams

Saturdays 10 am-12 pm

We'll bring roll-out mats and a few different types of slack lines. You bring a positive, safety-conscious attitude and a willingness to have fun! 

Madison Area Jugglers

Sundays 2-4 pm

A fun, low-key, informal way to practice your juggling skills with friends. All experience levels welcome!

Weekly Flow Jams

Sundays 6-8 pm

Weekly flow jams are BACK at the MCS this Sunday! All experience levels and flow disciplines and dancers welcome!

MCS in the Community

So Long Wacky Wheeler!

Our co-founder, Rob Summerbell, is retiring as Melvin the Wacky Wheeler. For the past 18 years, Rob has kept parade goers entertained, rolling around on a 10' tall, 350 pound cable wheel appearing in over 1200 parades across Wisconsin and the rest of the U.S.

Rob brought German wheel to Madison, was one of the original masterminds behind MCS, and continues to support MCS behind the scenes. We all wish him a happy retirement! Congrats Rob on bringing so many smiles to peoples faces over all these years.

Municipal Restored

Juggler and board member, Nick Aikens, represented Madison Circus Space at Municipal Restored, celebrating the grand reopening of one of our community’s cherished public spaces. Wisconsin State Journal photographer Amber Arnold captured a lovely moment of suspenseful juggling! Steven Clipson and Sophie Shapeless also brought the magic!
