Hello Readers,
There is a unique giveaway below. A freebie cozy mystery novella for all e-book readers. Is that you?
But first, let's talk about how stupid I'm feeling. Yes, stupid. I sent out a release notice for POACHING IS PUZZLING, my latest book. It came out April 25 -- you probably all received the newsletter -- well, anyway I was just informed by a reader that the summary describing the book was for the book that came out a month ago, A FLICKER OF A DOUBT!
Say, what? Oh, heavens. Do you ever do stupid things? How do you treat yourself afterward? Do you laugh at your foibles? Do you burn with embarrassment (that's my go-to response)? Do you apologize left and right? What can I say? I'm human. There's no doubt about it. I err. And I will err again. For those of you who did read the release newsletter and wondered if I was losing my marbles, I'm not. I'm just a tad overwhelmed.
My excuse is I have a lot on my plate. A new book out last week. A new book out a month ago. A book to be edited by May 15. Another book to be edited by May 31. And a COMPLETELY new book to be turned in by August 15. I'm almost done with the first draft. Woot!
If you're anything like me and overextending yourself, remember to
B - R - E - A - T - H - E !
FYI, POACHING IS PUZZLING is the 12th in the Cookbook Nook Mysteries. In the cutthroat world of crossword solvers, Jenna Hart will have to decipher some puzzling clues to catch a killer.
It's earning some lovely reviews on Goodreads and Amazon and elsewhere.
Kristina: Poaching is Puzzling is a crossword centric cozy with clever conundrums, a slain cruciverbalist, enticing appetizers, luscious cheeses, a sparkly spirit staff, shrewd wordsmiths, and a triumphant tournament victor.
Tina: It was a captivating plot that intensified when Jenna's aunt Vera is a suspect in her friend's murder who is a puzzle constructor.
Margie: If you love quirky characters and a twisty plot with a plethora of murder suspects, Daryl Wood Gerber's Cookbook Nook Mysteries are for you.
Kim D: Once all was said and done, I found Poaching is Puzzling to be another entertaining addition to a long-loved series!
Amanda: This was my favorite Cookbook Nook Mystery yet (even though, honestly, I've loved them all!)
