Let’s start the year with some community comments taken from our social media feeds over the last month or so. You too can help spread the word about the wonderful set up we have at Hardie Park. Your feedback on Google, Facebook and TripAdvisor is much appreciated.

Christmas Eve Turkeys

We think you’ll agree our park team and volunteers deserve a huge round of applause for the hours they put in collecting, sorting and manning the pop-up. Our pop-up runs daily and provides surplus supermarket food to the community from M & S, Sainsburys and Lidl. James collected in excess of 200 turkeys on Christmas Eve in the little green van, a huge delivery to manage in a short space of time. Our team re-opened the pop up early evening on Christmas Eve to ensure they all went to a good home! Our very own community superstars.

Tree-mendous community support

After our log appeal this month, small local family business Foresters Tree Service saved the day! Logs delivered to the park ready for seasoning and drying. THANK YOU and thanks for all the community pointers in the right direction.

Our wood burner is now keeping the cafe and snug warm for our customers.

A thank you to Galloping Gourmates also who provided some stop gap kindling to keep the fire burning until we received the big stuff. It was much appreciated.

Be prepared...

Fantastic that we have twelve of our volunteers signed up so far to take part in Defibrillator training workshops over the coming weeks. They will be delivered by one of our Local First Responders (Group Trainer and Trainer for East of England Ambulance Trust). Defib training and CPR skills are always good to know, skills we hope we don’t need to put into action in our community.

What can 'you' refill?

The Refill Cabin continues to visit the park every Tuesday. Worth a look if you are passing! You can’t miss Ermintrude parked up between 11am to 3.30.
