A 106-year-old care home resident, Joan Willet has been given a Points of Light Award after she raised over £60,000 for the British Heart Foundation. Joan decided to raise the money after surviving her second heart attack at 82 years old and being inspired after watching Captain Sir Tom Moore's fundraising efforts during the pandemic. She raised the money by walking up and down a steep hill near her care home which has now been named after her.
