Well hello!
How has your week been, pal? It's been raining on and off, day and night in Melbourne and I've been taking it easy and trying to get back into tip-top health. I've made a vat of chicken soup and been taking vitamins and doing Adriene's yoga for sick people. It's all slowly helping, you'll be pleased to know!

I finished The Voyage Out (4 stars out of 5!) and am now reading Persuasion with a side of Pachinko. I'm wholeheartedly enjoying both and am lucky to have a bit more time to read. I know lots of you have NO TIME to even THINK. Ugh. Sorry you're enduring that.

My latest book is about to go off to press. It's a book for mums and it's about finding time to care for yourself (not just care for your kiddos.) So THAT is exciting.

I've just redesigned my blog to make it fresh and simple ... and I've also been sharing the memoir I wrote in Melbourne's first lockdown. You can read that here (if you fancy!)

Let's dive into FNL and focus on some cheerful snippets and interesting things. Perhaps you will have time to read some of them, even?

The Vow, I Am Not Okay With This, On The Rocks + Julie & Julia

1/ I'm glued to The Vow on Binge.com.au. It's about the NXIVM cult and how it drew followers in. Fascinating. Trailer here.

2/ I binge watched I Am Not Okay With This and I loved it. The young cast are excellent and it's a bummer that Netflix did not renew it. Worth a watch, defo. Trailer here.

3/ On The Rocks is the new Sofia Coppola movie starring Bill Murray, Rashida Jones and Marlon Wayans. It's on my to watch list. More here.

4/ During the week I re-watched Julie & Julia and I am so glad I did. Maybe you want to do that too? (It's on Amazon Prime).

Bewildered

Leigh on Twitter recommended Laura Waters' book Bewildered. I am about to start reading it in a warm bath with a hot cup of tea. I think it'll be JUST my cup of tea. Nature and walking and thinking.
