Hi everyone,
I hope this finds you well, and ready for the festive season.
If you're like me, you'll be delighted when it finally arrives, the shops are closed, and I physically cannot do any more. And I'm trying to convince myself that if I haven't been able to find that special cheese, you know the really mouth-watering one with caramelised onions in it, Christmas won't be ruined.
Yesterday, I dropped Naomi into Belfast city centre to meet her friends, and I think the entire population of Northern Ireland was either in the city centre, on their way to the city centre, or like me trying to get out of it. (Ooh this is beginning to sound like a lesson in prepositions!)
For me, 25th December is having the parents round for dinner, and just spending time with the ones we love. Now that Naomi is a teenager, Christmas morning is less chaotic than it used to be. Although we have made some reindeer food to put in the garden on Christmas eve, you know, just in case.
I wish you a relaxing and peaceful festive season. Thank you for your continued support in 2022. It means so much to me, and I look forward to seeing you in 2023 to talk about ancient Greece and Rome.
With very best wishes,
Helen
