It was Scottish Housing Day recently and the theme this year is good neighbours and strong communities. To mark the occasion, we caught up with a few of the residents at Nigel Henderson Court in Sanquhar to about what community and neighbourhood means to them. You can read all about it here.

Our tenants, staff and partner organisations had a brilliant time at our family fun day at the Redburn Community Centre recently.

From bouncy castles to face painting, arts and crafts and health and wellbeing, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to everyone who came along!

We carry out an annual service of your gas boiler to make sure they’re safe and working properly. We will also check your carbon monoxide detectors and replace them if they are faulty or out of date.

Unsafe appliances can put you at risk of gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning. So please allow us access to carry out this vital service.

It was recently World Suicide Prevention Day. If you think someone might be suicidal, take action, interrupt their thoughts and show them you care.

If you feel like you want to talk to someone, you can call the Samaritans on 116 123 for free, day or night, 365 days a year.

Eddie at Callum MacDonald Court in Rosyth turned 70 recently. From the looks of it, Eddie and his guests had an absolute blast, with games, dress up, a lovely buffet, and a packed dance floor! Happy birthday Eddie!

Our Welfare Benefits team do amazing work for our tenants every day.

In August they helped 20 tenants gain over £49,000 in additional income, which will make a considerable difference to their lives.

We know that managing your energy bills can be worrying and, at times, confusing. The service aims to help you stay affordably warm at home and includes:

• Access to their online advice library
• Regular emails or letters over the coming months around energy advice
• Access to telephone advice for more in-depth support
• Tailored one-to-one support if you have more complicated problems such as energy billing issues or debt

The RTS switch off didn’t happen on 30^th June, as planned. Instead, they will start to phase them out over a period of time. Here is some information that answer any questions you may have.

If you have an RTS meter and haven't made an appointment for it to be replaced with your energy supplier, please get in touch with them as soon as possible.
