Roosevelt School Site Council has three open seats.
The school site council is composed of 10 members – 5 school employees and 5 parents or guardians of current students. The council works with the school principal to discuss, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. There are three open parent/guardian seats on our site council. If you are interested in being elected to one of these seats, (voted on only by Roosevelt parents/guardians), please compose a short statement in 12-point font (no more than three paragraphs). Tell the community about yourself, your background and knowledge base, and your reason for wishing to be elected to one of these seats. Site council meets each month (via Zoom for now), generally the first Thursday, at 3:15 (with time slightly adjusted during distance learning). The first meeting of this school year is Thursday, 9/23/21.
Submit statements as PDF documents, attached to the email, to Debbie Stern, dstern@smmusd.org, no later than 6:00pm on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
Statements will be made public to the Roosevelt parent/guardian community on Friday, 9/17/21, and voting will take place through Tuesday, 9/21/21 @ 7:00pm. Each family will be allowed one vote.
Thank you for stepping up to be a voice for your fellow Roosevelt Parents.
