To stay organized, we would recommend making an Excel tracker, e.g. if you are a college student trying to break into Investment Banking, your excel tracker will be a simple spreadsheet, with columns for “Bank”, “App Deadline”, “App Submitted”, “People Spoken to”, “Last Contact”, “Interview Scheduled”, “Notes” etc. Also, if you are sending out cold emails to people in the industry, please triple check your emails, one typo can disqualify you from the process (sounds petty af but that’s really how it is).
