The sales KPIs show NZ and AU powering alone in July +24 and +18% compared to last year. It will be interesting to see what the lockdowns in Vic do this month, we certainly see website hits increase in lockdowns.

Sales in June/July 2019 vs. June/July 2020:

  • Australia: +13/+18%
  • New Zealand: +25/+24%

System traffic

  • 1.8 million page views in July vs 1.7 million in June, however Aug already has 2 million, likely driven by lockdowns in Vic.

Development in July

In July we did a lot more work on API's and infrastructure. We also delivered improvements in POS search, website, customer orders and deals.

In progress

  • Item base web order fulfilment to make filling web orders faster and easier
  • Streamlined web checkout
  • Infrastructure and system upgrades
  • Ezipay integration
  • Purchase Order cart refactor (speed up)

The 99th NZ Booksellers Conference is on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd August at the Hilton hotel in Auckland.

We will be there both at the trade desk day and running the annual Circle user meeting.

The Circle user meeting will run from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday 22nd August at the end of the trade show (in the same room). We will stream it using zoom or hangouts for those who are not attending the conference.

Tip: A new (contactless) way to say a personal hello to customers.

Bonjoro provides an easily way to send a personal video message to customers. Typically used when receiving or sending out an order. More effective and possibly faster than writing an email.

Emma recently subscribed to an author newsletter and received this personalised welcome video.
