APNU+AFC has no reasonable basis on which it could claim to have won – Dominic Gaskin

AFC Executive and former Minister of Business in the APNU+AFC government, Dominic Gaskin tonight said that there was no reasonable basis on which the governing coalition can  claim to have won more votes than the PPP/C in the March 2nd elections and he said claims of fraud have been “grossly exaggerated”.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Gaskin, who is the son-in-law of President David Granger, also charged that APNU+AFC has no intention of relinquishing control of government.        Continue reading →

De facto President David Granger and Minister of Public Health, Volda Lawrence, have cleared out their respective public offices in preparation for transition to the incoming government. This is according to credible information provided to this publication.

Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) slams false social media reports

GRA logoThe management of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has called on persons to desist from spreading inaccurate and unfounded information about the agency through electronic and other media.

In a press release issued to today, the GRA stated “Reference can be made to recent posts on the social media platform Facebook alleging that several private garbage disposal vehicles were seen at the GRA’s headquarters loading and carting off “documents” under the watchful eye of its Law Enforcement arm.”        Continue reading →
