Connecting People to Christ for Life

Independence Weekend Outdoor Service (One Service)

Please plan to join your family in faith at Immanuel for a combined, outdoor worship service next Sunday, July 3 at 9:30 a.m.  Whether you regularly worship in the Heritage (Saturday or Sunday), Bridge, Horizon, or North services, we’re all going to be gathering at the main campus Sunday morning as a united congregation to receive God’s gifts of Word and Sacrament.  Note that we will not have worship on Saturday evening or at North this weekend.

Like last year’s Independence Day weekend worship, we will be on the parking lot and lawn, so please bring your own chairs and/or blankets.  However, this year we’ll have the stage on the west parking lot – you’ll be able to enter and park from both of the regular entrances, and there should be plenty of shade.

Following the service, we’ll be having a hot dog cookout (with sno-cones!) to give us more time for informal fellowship.

We pray that our Lord grants favorable weather on July 3 as He connects us to Himself and to each other!

Swinging for the Students Golf Outing

Come join us Friday, July 29, for our 2nd annual Immanuel Lutheran School "Swinging for the Students" Golf Outing at Timber Pointe Golf Club. The event will be played in a Scramble Format. Tee time will be at 1:30pm. There will be special events, prizes, and awards. There will also be a great buffet lunch and dinner.

Last year's winning team is already registered and will be defending its title. Is your team ready to take over the top spot?  Will someone, once again, win the $10,000 Hole-in-One Contest? Or maybe you plan on winning the Longest Drive, Longest Putt or Closest to the Pin contest?

If you have any questions about the event or would like to register you can contact Frank Bisconti at or at 815 544-8058.You can also register or see more information at

Helping Hands is in need of people to serve at the ticket gates at the Boone County Fair from Aug. 9th-14th. This is the main fundraiser that supports the important work they do in Boone County. Helping Hands Network serves those who are in need of emergency financial assistance, paper products, basic household furniture, and medical equipment. Working the fair gates is a fun way to support Helping Hands. If you are interested in serving call Helping Hands at 815-544-1409.
