Discover Colourscape, 23 – 31 May
Colourscape invites visitors of all ages to step inside a vast walk-in labyrinth of glowing colour, where live music and performance unfold around them.
As you wander through the interconnected tunnels, you encounter moments of live music, movement and performance unfolding throughout the structure. Each visit becomes a unique journey through colour, sound and space.
Created by artists Peter Jones and Lynne Dickens, Colourscape has toured internationally for over 40 years and is presented by the Eye Music Trust. The structure contains dozens of interconnected chambers, offering constantly changing perspectives as visitors move through the installation.
Visitors wear coloured cloaks which blend with the illuminated walls, making everyone part of the artwork itself. Colours appear to shift and merge as you move, creating a dreamlike environment where colour can feel almost physical.
Spanning approximately an acre, this large-scale installation is around three times bigger than the version previously seen in Bath, creating a more expansive and immersive experience for audiences.

PAPERBOY
PAPERBOY is an unusual, observational art/photography/culture magazine that views contemporary life in an offbeat or skewed way. Its latest release is called 'The Upside Down Issue' because right now the world feels out of order, transformative and, well, turned upside down. To mark this moment the magazine has abandoned its customary blank, logo-only dust jackets and gone for a cover star who happens to be Marilyn, a two-toed sloth at London Zoo who is profiled and models inside the magazine. As for the rest, PAPERBOY offers ‘bad dogs and soft furnishings, bare bottoms and bum bags, anti-gravity household products, head-rush fashion, an excellent poem about a second-rate gymnast, new perspectives on yoga, football fandom, imperfection and fancying farm machinery, and a few of Manolo Blahnik’s favourite things’.

Phenomenal Women: An Evening with Lady Carnarvon, 11 June
Inspired by Maya Angelou’s celebrated poem ‘Phenomenal Woman’. Join for an intimate and inspiring evening hosted at the Gainsborough Hotel.
Lady Carnarvon, Fiona, 8th Countess of Carnarvon. Known and loved by millions around the world as the setting for Downton Abbey, Lady Carnarvon brings with her a life as rich and layered as the castle she calls home.
A bestselling author, historian, international speaker, and tireless fundraiser, Lady Carnarvon has built a remarkable body of work that reaches far beyond the walls of one of England’s most celebrated estates. Her latest book, A Year at Highclere, is an intimate and beautifully observed portrait of life through the passing months and seasons , revealing what it truly means to live, work, and steward an extraordinary home with history woven into every stone.
Her story is one of heritage and modernity, of duty and creativity, of a life lived with purpose and grace. It is, in every sense, a Phenomenal Women story.

Plankbridge partners with the Urban Garden for RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026
Dorset-based shepherd’s hut and cabin makers Plankbridge have collaborated with Bath-based social enterprise The Urban Garden for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 for the third year.
The partnership provides six local trainees – many of whom are facing mental health challenges or long-term unemployment – with the opportunity to be actively involved in the planting scheme of the Plankbridge Chelsea 2026 trade stand.
Under expert guidance they will gain invaluable hands-on experience in designing and preparing a trade stand, offering a rare insight into the craftsmanship, planting choices and meticulous planning required at one of the world’s most prestigious horticultural events. This initiative reflects the transformative power of horticulture – not just in shaping beautiful landscapes but in nurturing confidence and wellbeing. Throughout the project, they will design the planting scheme for three planters – all with different aspects and themes.
The final design is on display at Ranelagh Gardens RA644, at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 until Saturday 23 May
