Achieving the THREE FIRSTS in Fergana, Uzbekistan 🇺🇿

As you perhaps already know, during the last week of May we hosted our largest and most important event so far - NomadMania’s 5th Conference.

It was held in Fergana, Uzbekistan and included a few milestones :-)

1) We were the first group of (western) travellers to fly into the exclave of Sokh – three flights of 12 people flew the venerable Antonov-2 to get there and were met by the mayor;

2) We were the first group of travellers to visit the Khanabad Dam on the border of Kyrgyzstan which forms the easternmost area of Uzbekistan;

3) We were the first international group and the first westerners in at least 25 years to visit Shohimardan, the other Uzbek exclave. Special permits were received thanks to the Fergana Tourist Board.
