Happy Friday Friends!

"Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out!

This past week has been quite the interesting...I left my "winter hermit cave" to attend a fun social outing with one of my oldest childhood friends, went to two very timely and AMAZING workshops (one on "Applied Empathy," and the other on "Exerting Executive Presence,") attended two Tamron Hall shows, met and talked with André Leon Talley, had an encouraging pep talk with my Dad, and began to gear up and prep for some brand new projects.

Be sure to check out my pictures, video highlights, stories, and other life musings on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week---I try to post some of my randomness there.

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Have an AMAZING weekend and upcoming week!

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Degust: (verb) to taste something carefully, so as to appreciate it fully.

  • ADVICE: “Your potential is endless. Go do what you were created to do." - Anonymous

  • MOOD MUSIC: In the spirit of it being Bob Marley's birthday yesterday, I have been in a bit of a reggae mood. Today, I'm sharing one of my newest favorite NPR Tiny Desk finds from Koffee (who also happens to be the very first woman to ever win a Grammy award in the reggae category (and she's only 19!)). You can get into her vibes HERE.

  • APP RECOMMENDATION: Are you finding yourself struggling in the area of productivity? If so, you may find something in this list of Best 20 Productivity Apps of 2020 helpful.

  • CRAFTY MAGIC: I haven't tried this (seemingly easy) DIY Hand-Knit blanket yet; but, I must admit that making it looks like it would be very cathartic- and, something like I will be doing in the near future. Let me know if you try it out!

  • LIFESTYLE TIP:  Do you suffer from eye strain or fatigue? If so, you may want to try the 20-20-20 rule. It simply states that every 20 minutes, you should take a 20-second break and focus your eyes on something at least 20 feet away.

I really truly had the highest of hopes of writing a reflectional musing of something I have been thinking about this week...but, alas, I am super tired (it's 1:45AM 😴), and have a busy day tomorrow. So, I am going to honor my body's request for sleep; and, my promise to myself to get this newsletter out on time by sharing this graphic I found in the immediate interim.

I know that with all of the madness happening in the world, that life can be a bit triggering. It is my hope that this little share will bring a bit of solace and peace to anyone who may need it.

This week's challenge is to simply participate in an act of self-care.

Thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey! I will be sharing some upcoming events that I have been working on in the next couple of newsletters- so stay tuned for more info and invites!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
