Popping in with a quick writing prompt inspired by our recent summer travels down near San Diego.
I won't lie, I'm not writing much at all. I did get that book blurb written earlier this month (woohoo), but my own big projects and ideas are just hanging around waiting for me to turn my attention back to them... someday.
And I'm mostly ok with that. Maybe 2022 will be another big writing year. 2020-21 not so much. Then again so were 2016-17 and then in 2018 I had an explosion of new publications, readings, and general out-there-in-the-writing-worldness.
So these things come in waves for me, and I'm (mostly) getting used to those ebbs and flows.
Here's to the hibernation years, the thinking years, the note-taking years, the contemplation years, the being with the babies while they're babies years.
And here's to you whether you're having a writing filled summer -- or not.
Drop me a line and let me know what you're working on and/or excited about this summer.
In the meantime, check out the pic and prompt below.
