Dear ,
If you’re serious about reducing ink spend (and carbon footprint!) in flexo and gravure printing, then reusing inks coming back from the press is a must-do.
In our new blog on InkConnection, we reveal the process steps for reusing problematic leftover inks – for instance, when the pigments of returned inks and the target colour vary greatly, or when the ink is contaminated. The method uses spectral data to create a recipe consisting of both returned and virgin inks.
No ink left behind with the integrated spectral method! We recommend the efficient ‘mathematical method’ for reusing inks wherever possible. But with this complementary ‘integrated spectral method’ as a back-up, you can recycle every leftover batch and record its logistic events with your software.
