Can you believe it is a third of the way through July? My mother always said this would happen, but sometimes I feel like time has hit supersonic speeds. Jane always told us "the days are long, but the years are short." Seriously, no one else's mother said things like that. Of course Jane turned out to be entirely correct -- except that sometimes the days don't even seem long!
I had wonderful deep red water left over after cooking some beets last week so I threw in the Cormo tank top I had just knit for Dolly. She loves the soft orange. That is as far as I go with dyeing.
I am working on deadlines -- external deadlines which tend not to be flexible, so I am busy as the bees in the flowers. Unfortunately I am also enduring a respiratory virus (not Covid!) and I'm really tired by mid-afternoon, so will soon have to go lie down for a while. I am so pathetic that Mitch did the grocery shopping this week. We were out running errands on Wednesday and I hit a hunger and exhaustion wall, and I've been kind of slipping ever since.
