I shared a little writing update over on Instagram and Facebook recently, so I thought I'd include it here for anyone who doesn't follow me on those pages:
I’ve pulled back a little from social media this month after posting quite regularly throughout December and January while launching SUGARCOATED. Social media is such a huge time-suck, and the days I avoid it are always my most productive.
I’m currently working on the US edition of SMALL SPACES, which I will be self-publishing into the US territory myself. I had my unused US rights reverted last year from my Australian publishing house, and I have exciting plans to get myself and my thrillers in front of US readers at long last. For SMALL SPACES, this involves a light edit and then formatting the book all over again, as well as designing the ebook and paperback (I can’t wait to reveal the new cover!), then uploading to all the different platforms. A huge amount of work goes into self-publishing books, so this is currently keeping me very occupied.
I am also working on my next YA psychological thriller! As soon as this draft is finished, you’ll start to hear a lot more about it. I will reveal the title, the synopsis, the cover, and the release date! I am beyond excited to start sharing it with you all.
I'm also in the process of polishing up a creepy short story which I will be making available exclusively to newsletter subscribers. I currently offer a free novella called PIECE OF CAKE (from my Leftovers series of contemporary novels) for anyone who subscribes, but I realise that many of my readers who are only interested in my darker stories are waiting for more of that kind of thing from me. Well, you’re in luck! 2022 is going to be a good year for you. Keep watching this space.
