Last Chance To Complete This Year's Supporters Survey!

By Christoph Roser at AllAboutLean.com under the free CC-BY-SA 4.0 license.

The deadline for completing this year's Scottish Football Supporters Survey has been extended, so you now have just a few days left to ensure that your views are included.

Go to http://www.scottishsupporters.net/survey/ - the survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete, and will allow us to present your opinions to both the football authorities and the clubs, and will help us shape our policy approach over the next year.

Clyde and FansBet Partnership

Clyde FC are the latest Scottish club to sign up as a FansBet fan partner.

Run by lifelong match-goers, FansBet pride themselves as being the only bookmaker which promises to share a generous 50% of their net profits with fans, while maintaining rigorous standards towards safe, enjoyable, responsible gambling.

Fans are given the option to select who they support when they join up and anyone who selects Clyde during registration can rest assured that if their bet wins they will receive their winnings in the normal way, while any unsuccessful bets can still help Clyde raise funds which will then be spent in various ways to benefit their club and supporters.

Clyde director, Gordon Thomson said: "Clyde FC are delighted to partner with FansBet and we're impressed by the company's approach to responsible gaming and their commitment to helping clubs like The Bully Wee. For supporters who enjoy betting, switching to FansBet is an easy way in which they can help the club."

Sam McMahon, FansBet Ops Manager said: "It's great for us to be able to support Clyde FC and raise funds to support the club and their fans. We really can't wait to hear the great ways in which this new partnership will benefit those who follow Clyde both home and away."

Police Scotland and SFRS Pyrotechnics Survey

Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to hear Scottish football supporters' views on people’s use of pyrotechnics (flares, smoke bombs, bangers) inside and outside football stadiums and at other public events. This short survey should only take 2 minutes to complete.

The results are confidential and individual responses are for internal use only. The consultation closes on 13th October.

Earlier this year, one of Scotland’s oldest non-league football clubs warned it may have to fold without new committee members getting involved in the running of the club.

Maryhill FC was founded in 1884 and currently play in the junior West Region league division one. Famous former players include ex-Celtic and Scotland legend Tommy Burns and Jim Duffy, the ex-Celtic and Patrick Thistle player and now Dumbarton manager.

We spoke to the club about their volunteer recruitment drive and the value of volunteers to football in Scotland.
