Bring Together Lithuania / Jungtis Lietuvai

Facebook

🇺🇸 | #BringTogetherLTstories | Matas Buivydas Throughout the six weeks in the summer of 2019, myself and other American-Lithuanian students and graduates participated in the program Bring Together Lithuania / Jungtis Lietuvai. This program is designed to have the young participants rediscover modern Lithuania, as well as obtain professional experience within their field of interest. Bring Together Lithuania provided me with an opportunity to work at Bankera (SpectroCoin), ‘a digital bank for the blockchain era’. My knowledge regarding the crypto currency sector expanded due to the copious amount of research and work. I was able to work in a very friendly environment with people of multiple backgrounds, which illuminated different perspectives when it came to work ethics and habits. I was able to develop my Lithuanian literacy skills, as I myself wished to enhance this attribute. The progression of my ability in the Lithuanian language increased, allowing me to contribute in projects as well as communication. The program offered many opportunities for professional networking by meeting with experts of multiple fields. We were able to explore the NASDAQ location of Lithuania, meet the head of representation for the European Commission Arnoldas Pranckevičius, and meet other professional figures. We also had the humbling opportunity to met Dalia Grybauskaitė a month before her departure from office. Additionally, we witnessed the inauguration of the new president, Gitanas Nausėda. Our adventures to Trakai, Kaunas and Klaipeda created many new memories and emotional connections with one another in the program, and by the end, we became family. I chose this program because I wanted to witness how much Lithuania changed and to see my family once again. The vast change in Lithuania from my previous time spent here had put me in awe. It felt different being surrounded by Lithuanians and hearing our language on the street or at work. The program gave me professional experience that is hard to come by, as I was able to work in a completely different cultural environment amidst those who also call this country our Tėvyne. 🇱🇹 | "Jungtis Lietuvai" programos dalyvių istorijos | Matas Buivydas Kartu su kitais Amerikos lietuvių studentais ir absolventais 2019 metų vasarą dalyvavau 6 savaičių programoje Bring Together Lithuania. Ši programa yra išskirtinai sukurta lietuvių diasporos jaunimui ir suteikia galimybę iš naujo atrasti šiuolaikinę Lietuvą bei įgyti vertingos profesinės patirties stažuočių metu. Bring Together Lithuania suteikė man galimybę dirbti technologijų centre “Bankera” (SpectroCoin). #BringTogetherLT #JungtisLietuvai #AmerikosLietuviai #PasaulioLietuviai #Bankera #GlobaliLietuva
