"On Shivaratri day you must try to establish friendship between your mind and God. Shivarathri is to remind you that the same Divinity is all-pervasive and is found everywhere. People believe Shiva lives in Kailasa. Where is Kailasa? Kailasa is your own joy and bliss. It signifies that Lord Shiva lives in the Kailasa of delight. If you develop joy and delight in your mind, then Shiva lives in you. How can you get this joy? It comes when you develop purity, steadiness and sacredness. Then your heart becomes filled with peace and bliss and is indeed Shiva’s Kailasa! Shiva will live in the sanctum sanctorum of your heart, within the temple which is your body. There is no use in just thinking of Shivaratri once a year. Every minute, every day, every night, you should think of Divinity and sanctify your time, for the Time Principle truly speaking is Shiva." Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Jai Sai RamRohitbhai, we are really pleased to let you know that we are once again going to be re-united with live bhajans at Soar Valley College and in-person teaching of Bal Vikas (SSE) classes from Sunday 6th March. I'm sure you'll agree that there is nothing like doing live satsang together and being able to come to the centre and be totally focused on Swami.
However, you don't have to wait even that long, as the first event we have live at Soar Valley College is our Maha Shivratri programme on Tuesday 1st March. For many of us this is a very special night where we can immerse ourselves in the singing and chanting of God's name. So we are so very lucky to resume our live programmes from this very auspicious evening.
As always, please do contact us through the centre email at the bottom of this newsletter if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns and we will do our best to answer them.
Maha Shivratri Programme - Tuesday 1st March 2022
We are delighted to let you know that we will be celebrating the auspicious night of Shivratri live at Soar Valley College on Tuesday 1st March from 7:30pm - 9:00pm.
This very special night will be full of vibrant bhajans, Shiva stotram chanting and Shiva Lingam Abhishekam. Please do join us for this energising and spiritual evening.
If you are unable to join us live at Soar Valley College then you can still join us online through the Leicester Sai Centre YouTube channel and experience the vibrations from wherever you are.
We are really pleased to be able to invite you all back to Soar Valley College for live bhajans from Sunday 6th March 2022.
We have updated our guidelines since the last time we returned to Soar Valley College and the biggest change is that we will no longer be registering devotees who attend bhajans. However, we are still maintaining a lot of the other guidelines and processes to allow us to continue to resume bhajans as safely as possible for everyone. So please do remind yourself of our guidelines which can be found on our centre website.
We are sure many of you have been waiting for this day and we really appreciate your support and patience as we made preparations to return back to live bhajans. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
We are pleased to be able to invite all students and parents back to Soar Valley College (SVC) for in-person Bal Vikas (SSE) classes from Sunday 6th March 2022.
As you can imagine there are a number of changes and guidelines that we have had to put in place for our Bal Vikas (SSE) family, allowing us to resume classroom teaching safely as possible. So we ask all parents to please review the specific guidelines for Bal Vikas (SSE) returning to Soar Valley College on our centre website.
On Sunday 17th
February 2013, Bal Vikas (SSE) children sang beautiful bhajans and conducted Aarti as part of the weekly Sunday morning bhajans.
Next Centre Meeting
Our next centre meeting will be on Tuesday 8th March 2022 and everyone is welcome to join to share your ideas and thoughts on our centre activities. The meeting will be online and you can ask any of the centre coordinators for the call details. Please do try and join as we would value your opinions.
