Hi everyone

Here we are in May 2020 already, and what a rollercoaster ride it had been.

Here in South Africa, we are still in strict lockdown and only moved into Level 4 today, but it is still stricter than most countries. For goodness’ sake, we can't even buy wine!

As I've mentioned before, I'm still stuck in a tiny village in South Africa's Eastern Cape. Nothing much is happening here except the cows and the goats daily visits. My sister and her partner are on a baking spree and we have to eat it all. Luckily we can start exercising outside from today, but only between 6 and 9. So, we're off for a long walk to the farm tomorrow (if it's not snowing, because that's in the forecast).

This month I have little news on the writing front. I've been working on several projects and I am editing and re-writing like crazy. Still, nothing to be published in the near future, though but I hope to have a freebie for you next month.

I've concentrated on my blogs in April so you can go check out all the blogs on my website.

This month I want to do things differently. I want to introduce you to some of my fellow South African authors, especially those who are part of my writing tribes. Here I'm talking about Marie Dry, my mentor and fellow writer at the Romance Organization of South Africa's Pretoria Branch as well as Vida li Sik, Charlene Namdhari and Bailie Hantam, who is my writing tribe from the indie author's community. We all write different sub-genres, and some, like Vida, writes other genres too.

Who knows, maybe you'll find your next favourite read between these group of amazing authors.

Again, thank you for your support. Until next time.

Vida Li Sik is a wife, mother, award-winning journalist and multi-genre author. She grew up in a small town, Nigel, in sunny South Africa, and now lives with her family in Johannesburg, the City of Gold. She has no pets and has yet to find a weird and wonderful hobby. In the meantime, she loves to write about people, real ones and imagined.

Trust can't grow on lies…
Craving a fresh start and making up for lost time is what brings Savanna to the Ivory Coast. Work. Adventure. New people. After a stint in jail, she's ready to seize it all. But new love and healthy relationships can't grow when she keeps the door to parts of her life firmly shut. What happens when that door won't stay closed? Can Savanna seal the deal when her past threatens to derail her fragile new relationship with Alexander?

Uses British/South African spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Complete with British/South African English Glossary at the end, together with the few French words and phrases used in the story.

Marie loves to read and love to write romance and wishes she had more time to write all the stories waiting to be told. She writes different genres and today I want to introduce you to her latest release, a contemporary romance. You can find all Marie's books on her Amazon page,

Bailie Hantam lives in Johannesburg, South Africa. She's been writing stories her whole life. Her love for the romance genre started back in her teen years, when she devoured everything ending with a Happily Ever After. She put off writing for nearly two decades while she concentrated on raising her daughter and helping with her husband's business. Now, with an empty nest, and a little more free time, she is finally writing and giving those characters in her head their own Happily Ever After. You can follow Bailie on Amazon at

The last author I want to introduce you to this month is Charlene Namdhari. Born and raised in the coastal city of Durban, South Africa and now living in the City of Gold, Johannesburg, Charlene's days are an energetic mixture of a full-time job, a wife and Mom to two beautiful teenagers. She holds a Law Degree and is an avid events manager.
Believing writing is the wings to holistic escapism, she makes the time in her busy schedule giving life to her dreams of bringing together passion filled heroes and heroines in a happily ever after.

Charlene's latest release is A Stranger's Affection.

“There is nothing stronger than a broken woman who has rebuilt herself.” – Hannah Gadsby

Revenge is a deadly weapon. But it takes a special kind of vengeance to make a woman kill without remorse, to laugh without mirth, to challenge without thought. Kidnapped at seventeen, held captive and then forced into the world of crime, Nishani Scott Callahan defines fearless.

Back with her family eleven years later and ready for normalcy, fate strikes another blow. Abducted on her honeymoon, she’s severely assaulted. Fierce determination sees her escaping straight into the headlamps of a stranger's vehicle.

Billionaire Colton Black is hardcore. A man who treads a fine line between good and bad. He's got no time for love, until a rough pearl with dark hair and deep blue eyes lands in his lap, badly beaten and missing a chunk of her memory. Saving her means risking his guarded privacy, but her feistiness when she awakens catches him completely off-guard.

Equally unprepared, Nishani can’t fathom this ferociously controlled man who appears to reach past her scars to touch her fractured soul.

Will he be her salvation or her ruin?
