I made it out to Oakley last Saturday for the 2022 HEART OF OAKLEY FESTIVAL and saw CARNAVAL the Santana tribute band, voted by you, the #1 Tribute Band in 2022.
I did take a picture with Claudette "Stevie Nicks" Rodriques from FLEETWOOD MASK, the #2 tribute band. She's very nice. It was a great day to be in Oakley.
I don't see any nearby upcoming shows, for either band, on their websites. But, I will continue to watch for them on ContraCostaLive.com.
Burrata Goes Well With Pinot Noir
I was in POSTINO'S recently. I sat at the copper top bar and ordered Burrata, a mozzarella style cheese, artisan salumi, basil, Castelvetrano olives, san Marzano tomato jam, extra virgin olive oil, aged balsamic, with warmed toast $22 and a glass of the Prodigal Pinot Noir $13.50.
The jam and cheese is prepared in-house. Every time I tasted the salumi (no typo) I was amazed at the salami flavors from a product that looks nothing like any salami I have ever eaten.
I love this place. Lots of nooks and crannies to dine in, or hide from, with a large outdoor seating area. I'll be back again soon for something special or maybe just salumi and wine.
