In the first part of our trip we begin amid the prehistoric rock art of Serra da Capivara National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where 10,000-year-old plus paintings tell tales of the Americas’ earliest inhabitants. Visit the kaleidoscopic cliffs of Serra das Confusões, a lesser-known region where shifting light transforms stone into a canvas of illusions.
Venturing North all the way to the coast we will glide through the mangrove labyrinths of Parnaíba River Delta, where scarlet ibises paint the sky at sunset, and dive into the otherworldly dunes and lagoons of Lençóis Maranhenses, a UNESCO site that defies imagination. We finish our adventure in São Luís, arriving just in time for the electrifying Bumba Meu Boi Festival—a UNESCO-recognized spectacle of music, dance, and folklore.
