Hi beautiful friend,
The above pic is me–well, my reflection–and the Appalachian mountains. It's pretty here! The smoky fogginess reminds me of visiting Kyoto in Japan. Except there, I remember sounds of monks chanting and gongs, and here it's a lot of landscaping noises. Ah, well! At least there are plenty of bears to spot.
And to use bears as a non-sequitur, I've been very much in hibernation mode. (If I owe you a response or acknowledgement, thanks for your patience! Tending to my mental health!) To me, the lazy hazy days of summer are feeling more like a season of slow-motion tornadoes of obligations and malaise. I keep repeating to myself, like a mantra:
Go outside. Go outside. Go outside.
If you're able to access nature in your part of the world, maybe you want to go outside, too? This is your reminder that spending time in nature lowers our heart rate, relaxes our muscles, acts as a potent anti-inflammatory, increases cancer-fighting abilities, and decreases depression, fatigue, and anxiety. And we could all use some of that right now, eh? 😅🌿
Okay, here are 5 things that I think you will like this week. ⏬
