Senior Student Elections
We are very grateful for the role that the senior students play in the life of the college. On behalf of the staff team and the wider college I'd like to thank Jacqui, Jenny, Jonathan, Karen, Kate, Lucy, Lucy, Rob, Ryan, Sam, Steve, Tom and Urmila for all they have done to serve the College community this year. We are now beginning the process for appointing the new senior students for the next year, who will take on the role from June. The role of Senior Student is vital to the life and well-being of St Mellitus College: it ensures the collective student voice is heard at the highest levels of the College, while also enabling effective communication between senior staff and the student body. As the primary liaisons between senior staff and students, it is vital that the Senior Students represent the breadth of the College, including gender and church tradition, as well as embody the College values. For this reason, Senior Students are appointed by the Dean. More information about the role of the Senior Students is available on Moodle. This year we will be appointing ten senior student positions:
- Chelmsford - Ordinand and Independent Undergraduates
- Chelmsford – LLM
- East Midlands
- London Monday – Ordinand
- London Monday – Theology, Ministry and Mission (Independent Undergraduate)
- London Monday — Theology and Youth Ministry
- London Monday – Postgraduate (Independent)
- London Tuesday
- South West
- Peter Stream
If you would like to nominate a student for consideration please either speak to or email your current senior student, Centre Director or email the Dean by midday Tuesday 13th April.
