Dear Parents and Friends of the School,
Grandparents Day was a huge success last week with a large number of people joining us for a morning in the classroom and around the school. Thank you to Sam Roberts for your effort and organisation of the morning where 166 new books were bought and donated to the school library. Thank you also to our dedicated PTA helpers who pulled together a lovely morning tea to ensure everyone left with a smile on their faces and a full belly.
We also had a lot of fun with our school Mini-Olympics on Friday. It was so good seeing the children compete for their adopted nations, showing respect and kindness to the other members of their team. Thank you to Mrs Levitt and the Year 6 leaders for all of the organisation.
Most children have now completed and presented their speech to their classmates. Thank you to the parents and family members who were able to support and encourage the children with these. I have heard from the teachers that speeches have been of a very high standard and that choosing class finalists has been one of the most difficult jobs of the year. I look forward to watching the school speech finals presented next week in the Rose Centre.
