I hope you're having a great week! Things are good here. I've been busy figuring out more of The Confession and am so excited about where it is going. (I just left off on a scene I've been dying to write!)

But even though I'm loving this story, it's time for me to take a quick break because... my husband and I are headed to Maui for the next week to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary!

I've never been to Hawaii, so it is an adventure I've been looking forward to for quite some time. We're leaving our kids with their grandparents (both sets live nearby and will be taking a few days here and there) and the dogs are with the sitter, so now it's time to just sit back and relax and forget about the hectic parts of life.

I'm not sure if I'll come back with much of a tan since I'll be sunscreening it up, but I'm sure I'll at least be rejuvenated and ready to get more writing done soon!

And if you feel like seeing updates on our adventures, I'll be sharing a bunch to my Instagram stories over the next week.
