MLTAV Annual General Meeting:
The MLTAV AGM will be held following the conference from 4:45 - 5:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend the AGM. When you register for the conference, you have the option to also RSVP to attend the AGM.

The Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership offers a program of advanced professional learning for excellent teachers. Join the MLTAV webinar at 3:45pm on Monday 29 August to hear from the inaugural Master Teacher for Languages, Dr Andrea Truckenbrodt, and a current Languages participant about the Teaching Excellence Program. This webinar will comprise a short overview of the program, description of the teacher experience and benefits and plenty of time for questions. Do you speak a language in addition to English? Consider a career as a Languages educator! There are a range of opportunities for people with strong languages skills to support languages education in Victorian government schools. Languages educators can be either qualified teachers who plan and deliver languages programs, or language assistants and education support staff, who support the delivery of languages programs. What is the Languages Educator Register? The Languages Educator Register is an online registry for anyone interested in being notified of languages education positions in Victorian government schools. Who can join the register? Current language teachers, preservice language teachers, recent graduates, undergraduate students, and anyone with native or advanced languages skills can join the register. How do I register? Registration is quick and easy! Complete this SurveyMonkey form What happens once I register? Details of vacant Languages positions that correspond to your nominated language/s will be emailed directly to you. You will then be able to apply for relevant positions via the Department’s Recruitment Online platform. Applications are now open for the 2023 exam setting process
Applications for VCE Examination Development panels for the 2023 Victorian end of year examinations and the 2024 VCE Northern Hemisphere examinations are now open on the VCAA’s Sessional Staff Management System (SSMS) website.
Please be aware that you are required to lodge an application each year if you wish to be considered for these positions. Also, please apply for multiple roles if you are indeed willing to undertake different roles. You can only be appointed for a role for which you have lodged an application.
The applications are scheduled to close on Sunday 4 September 2022.
