Sunday Worship Service

Dear St. Andrew's Community and Beyond

I've been looking forward to this Sunday's message.  When I was considering this "Glimpses of Paradise" series, I wanted to include the experiences people often have as they are dying, commonly witnessed by nurses and loved ones.  I asked our own Scott Eschbach, a long-time (and nationally recognized) hospice volunteer, if he'd be willing to share his perspective.  He said he would.  So today you will hear his distilled wisdom in "Glimpses of Paradise: Imagine the Path to Heaven."

Scott has created the rest of the service. Kirk Grier reads selected passages from 1 and 2 Corinthians.  Our hymns are "Let All Things Now Living" and "I've Got Peace Like A River."  I do the welcome, the prayers and the blessing.  Disciple Dog answers questions I have about whether pets are able to somehow sense if someone is close to dying.

Following the service is our coffee hour and adult education sessions; details below.

Due to copyright restrictions I was unable to include what I thought was an especially relevant music video in the recorded service. I had hoped to use it as a special postlude, but that was not possible.  After you've viewed the service if you'd like to enjoy the sense of awe and wonder of the beyond contemplated in the song:
