The White House has recently published a, “Technical Assistance Guide: A List of Resources to Help Communities Access Infrastructure and Clean Energy Funding.” This Guide provides information on federal technical assistance programs available to assist Tribal, state, and local communities with planning, project development, project finance, grant writing, and project management and compliance. It is meant to support efforts to increase access to funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Inflation Reduction Act, and other federal financial assistance programs to deploy infrastructure and clean energy projects. The Guide provides an overview of the 100+ federal technical assistance programs available to Tribal, state, and local governments and other entities for BIL and IRA funded projects, as well as the types of technical assistance available (e.g., educational/informational resources, direct technical assistance from agencies, and funding available for directly hiring personnel for technical assistance).
The White House has also published a guide on, “State Directed Technical Assistance Resources: A List of State and Local Resources to Help Communities Access Infrastructure and Clean Energy.” This Guide provides an overview of state technical assistance resources, some of which are also available to Tribal Nations.
