Our Annual Giving Campaign

It seems like every nonprofit does an annual campaign to raise funds and connect with donors. Get Healthy DeSoto mailed donation letters every year until last year. The number of returned letters was extremely high, and there are better ways to connect with our tribe. We need your help to figure out how though.

We'd like to know how you'd like to be contacted about annual or recurring giving, so please click on this link to complete a quick survey. It is only two questions! Your feedback will provide us with guidance about how to proceed with giving campaigns.

DeSoto Farmers' Market Update
[Insert Mission Impossible music here]

Your task on Saturday, should you choose to accept it!

When you visit the market on Saturday, please take a moment before you leave to complete a Customer Survey. This survey helps us develop programs, improve the market, and gather feedback from our great customers.

We'll even sweeten the deal and give you a gift as a token of our appreciation!

Simply show us your survey confirmation on Saturday by popping into the office. (Of course, if you want to take the survey as if it was last Saturday or the week before, that's fine too.) All the feedback is appreciated.

Tickets are on sale now!

We love this event, which is also the largest fundraiser for the farmers' market! It is a lot of fun, and we have a great new venue and chef this year. There will be silent auction items too, and the outdoor event will include great food, local wine, and...

special seating arrangements due to the pandemic. When you purchase tickets, please make sure you indicate who should be seated with you. We'll be doing our part to limit exposure and keep guests, servers, and volunteers safe.

A Potluck know, for when we can enjoy potlucks again!

For the salad

  • Kosher salt
  • 3 heads broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. dried cranberries
  • 1/2 c. sliced almonds
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

For the dressing

  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

  1. In a medium sauce pan, bring 4 cups of salted water to a boil. While waiting for the water to boil, prepare a large bowl with ice water.
  2. Add broccoli florets to the boiling water and cook until tender, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and place in the prepared bowl of ice water. When cool, drain florets in a colander.
  3. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, carrots, red onion, cranberries, almonds and bacon.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and vinegar and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and stir to combine.
