On January 25, 2024, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) will host an online public hearing to review the permit application for restoration work on Edenville Dam.
The permit is for the following work:
- Partially demolish the existing powerhouse structure
- Fill in the existing barrel arches and draft bay at the Tittabawassee spillway
- Demolish the existing piers and remove the existing bracing at the Tobacco spillway
- Construct a new spillway at the Tittabawassee River
- Construct a new spillway at the Tobacco River
- Construct a new low level outlet (LLO) at both spillways
- Construct a reinforced concrete labyrinth auxiliary spillway with a new stilling basin
