Education & Food Production |
|
Students at ADPP teacher training schools acquire many useful skills that complement pedagogical knowledge. Food production is one such skill, that helps improve the daily diet and enables the students to promote environmentally friendly agriculture during long-term teaching practice. At TTS ADPP Londuimbali, production from January to June was impressive, with 300 kg of maize, 239kg of beans and 20 kg of soya, plus large quantities of bananas and all kinds of vegetables, sufficient to accompany every meal. The students raise pigs, hens and ducks too. Next season will see a considerable increase in production thanks to abundant rainfall.
