Is No News Good News?
It seems like every time you turn around there’s something in the news about the pandemic. You might have noticed, though, that you haven’t heard announcements from the Council recently about it. We want you to know that it certainly isn’t forgotten. Council leadership and Enterprise Risk Management meet at least every two weeks to review what’s happening in Connecticut relating to Covid-19,and what direction we’re being given by the government. We take the time to assess our long-range plans to make certain that, from a health perspective, our planning makes sense. We also review specific inquiries that unit leaders ask and create guidance that enables activities while maintaining reasonable precaution against infection. When guidance or regulations change, we make sure that our policies reflect it. There’s much happening behind the curtain. We continue to be grateful to every unit leader for recognizing the severity of the risk of COVID-19, and for playing by the rules. The units of our council have been genuinely resourceful in creating opportunities, adapting to the situation, and keeping Scouting alive and WELL in Connecticut. Thank-you!
