We're all going on a summer holiday ...

We're almost at the end of July and into August, which means summer breaks and exciting vacations. I was intending to take the summer off, but in a moment of madness, I committed to a ridiculous and intense writing schedule up to mid-October this year. I will be using a technique called Rapid Release in which I release one book per week for 10 weeks! Here's the schedule:

1: Mon 9th Sept – Now You See Her [Adam Nicholls collaboration]
2: Mon 16th Sept – Dead of Night [re-edited]
3: Mon 23rd Sept – One Last Chance
4: Mon 30th Sept – No More Secrets
5: Mon 7th Oct – So Many Lies
6: Mon 14th Oct – Box Set 1 [Dead of Night/One Last Chance/So Many Lies – Fast Thrillers]
7: Mon 21st Oct – Two Years After
8: Mon 28th Oct – Friends Who Lie
9: Mon 4th Nov – Box Set 2 [No More Secrets/Friends Who Lie/Two Years After – Female Leads]
10: Mon 11th Nov – Left For Dead

I'll tell you more about my plans for these books in next month's email, but in the meantime ... I have a lot of writing & editing to do :-)

How Do You Stay Fit?

Being a writer is a sedentary job with many hours spent sitting in a chair tapping away at a keyboard. To try and keep fit, I attend a weekly parkrun, which involves running around my local park at a distance of 5k every Saturday morning. Do you run at your local event? If so, please drop me a line to let me know :-)

Book Release News

I've had a lot of positive reactions to the cover on this book. I have just finished writing Now You See Her and it's just gone off to the editor to get ready for a 9th September release. It's my first collaboration - with Adam Nicholls - and my first thriller to be set in the US. I'll have full release details next month, I can't wait to share it with you.

Edinburgh Bound

At the time you read this, I'll just be back from a writing conference in Edinburgh. Edinburgh is a wonderful Scottish city (have you been?) and conveniently close to where I live in the UK. These conferences provide an excellent opportunity for writers to get-together, swap tips and notes and pick up lots of great ideas. I will be meeting up with my military sci-fi collaborators - Jon & James Evans - while I'm there to finalize release plans for another three books I'm unleashing very soon.

Have You Been Watching ...?

Wow, there's so much good TV on at the moment, I thought I'd share some of what I've been watching recently. I'm really enjoying season 2 of Big Little Lies and what a fabulous cast that series has. The drama has been ramped right up! I can't forget to mention Stranger Things which also seems to turned the volume up on the excitement in season 3 - I've been on the edge of my seat at times and we haven't even finished the season yet. Finally - and an unusual one for me - The Last Czars on Netflix has been great.
