10/29/2023 Fall Festival 3:50-5:00 pm IMPORTANT!

The highly-anticipated Fall Festival is coming! All Students are welcome to come to school with Halloween costumes!

● Halloween Parade - K1,K2 and K3 classes will have the Halloween Parade in the Cafeteria at 2:30pm. Parents are also welcome to participate, cheer and take pictures for them.

● Notes for Room Parents - Please help your teachers to monitor students during the break time (2:45-3:00pm) this Sunday, so teachers can have a Fall festival food preview in the cafeteria.

● Volunteers Needed - Please contact Fundraising to sign up to donate and serve food, to host game stations, to help at second-hand sale tables, to set up or clean up the cafeteria.

● Pre-order Meal and Raffle Tickets on ECS Online

● Please bring your own container and utensils for food purchase! We love our earth! Thank you!

【Academics】

Teaching Observation Month is November! IMPORTANT
This is an opportunity to help parents understand students’ learning environment, classroom teaching and class organization. There is no limitation on how many and/or which classes you can observe, parents are encouraged to observe as many classes as you can, however, seats are limited, please register early. Sign-up form is open now.

Contest Judge and Event Volunteer Sign-Up IMPORTANT
The sign-up for academic contests is still available.. Please contact your room parent if you want to support the school. Activities open for signing up include: Speech Contest (12/10/2023), Chinese New Year Festival (2/11/2024), and Vocabulary Contest (5/1/2024). Please refer to School Service-point Tasks for detail.

12/10 ECS Speech Contest NEW
Students have been reminded to decide on the topic and to start preparing for the speech contest. This is a mandatory event in ECS. The contest is scheduled on 12/10, please start to prepare.(View Contest rules )

Congratulation to ECS Stars Chinese Typing Team NEW

ECS Stars Chinese Typing Team participated in the 16th NESTA DC Metropolitan Chinese Typing Competition on 10/21 and won several top awards! Congratulations to all the winners! More Info Here .

Recruiting 2023 NVAECS Stars Competition Team- Chinese Calligraphy

Competition will be on Saturday, December 9, 2023, 1:00 PM at TECRO

Welcome both ECS and non-ECS families! Come for any 1 night or all 7 nights!

● 2023 ECS ski trip can be 1 to 7 nights between 12/21 and 12/27

● Registration is now open and we will need checks or Paypal payments by October 29, 2023 for early bird discount

● Early bird discounts will have 50% savings on Registration Fee ($25 for ECS Families & $75 for Non ECS Families).

Safety Patrols Are Needed

Several Safety Patrols are needed for the Fall semester. Safety Patrol will earn 1 service point each time. Please go online to register if you are interested in.
