Issue 74- August 21, 2020

Hello Friends-

"Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and musings.

All things considered, I hope each and every one of you are doing well. For the second time since March, I actually put on some "real clothes" and attempted to do something with my hair! (Technically, I was kind of "forced" to do it for a promotional thing that a fellow entrepreneur was doing...but, that's really not the point, right?). At any rate, this week's feature pic serves as the social proof of documentation.

Aside from that "highlight," I did more of my usual quarantine things- made art (until the wee hours of the morning...(my sleeping patterns are totally out of control)), learned some new stuff at a few virtual events, and jumped back into my home organization/cleaning project. I'm hoping to go "out into the world" for a walk at some point over the weekend/early next week to catch a sunset...as well as, go on a "big adventure" to Trader Joe's...I just have to try and figure out the best limited people time option. (I'm seriously thinking it might just be my largest grocery haul purchase EVER...I have missed that place so much, and have literally dreamed of buying all of my favorite items!!!)

Anyway...How has your week been?

Random stories, pictures, video highlights, and other life musings can be found on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week (when/if I end up posting anything).

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Continued prayers that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy

(mentally & physically) out there 💗.

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Aplomb (n): self-confidence or assurance, especially when in a demanding situation

  • ADVICE: “Learn when to face the wind, and when to walk with it." - Najwa Zebian

  • MOOD MUSIC: I've been in a super old school mood lately...sharing this timeless favorite of Phil Collin's "In The Air Tonight." (Nothing like that bass drop at the 3 min and 16 second mark!)

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: This week I binge-watched (Un)Well on Netflix. It's a fascinating docuseries that takes a deep look into the top trends of the health and wellness industry. I highly recommend it for those who are interested in learning more about some of those popular "buzz words" that we hear about in the holistic health realm.

  • THE MORE YOU KNOW: The word, "depression" can come with a lot of stigma attached to it. Recently (my forever First Lady) Michelle Obama spoke on her dealing with a low-grade form of it, and helped "normalize" the thoughts around it a bit more. Here's a quick read that explains what it is in more detail. It is always so important to be aware of things like this, and to do what we can to help maintain our mental health (especially in times like these)

  • FEEL GOOD SHARE: This is a CrAzY story with a happy ending. A woman in Utah was dangling off a cliff and hanging on by her hair for 45 minutes ...and then, rescued by a team of football players tug-of-war style! So glad she made it out okay!

A friendly reminder.

This week's challenge is to send some "surprise" snail mail to someone who has touched your life.

I have some new and exciting community virtualizations that I will be hosting in the upcoming weeks! Be on the lookout for more info!

*As a reminder, "Virtualizations!" are my highly curated, virtual event offerings. If you (or, a friend) have an upcoming birthday (or other virtual celebration need), I would love to be considered as your virtual event planner consultant! Together we can craft a unique and engaging virtual experience that all your attendees will be touched by! Please feel free to reach out to me HERE for more details! I look forward to working with you!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
