The use of a drawn 'little head' in a narration box.

One of the most hokey conventions in comic books -and one I love- is the use of the 'little head' at the top of the narration box. It's used as a reminder that from here on out the story is told in the words of the character in question. To remove all doubts as to who's speaking a 'little head' is employed at the top of the box, like so:

Only in Comics.

It's hokey corny devices like this that you only find in comics that I really find irresistible.
