Newsletter - July 2022

Hello, from the Emerald Isles, though right now they're mostly grey. I woke up to cloudy skies and a lot of rain.

I am counting the days till the end of the school year (three days for me) and planning my work for the summer and the beginning of next school year because all of my kids will be in primary school and I won't have to do four school runs a day anymore. Yay, me!

I'm still editing my MM romance. The fact that the kids were sick didn't help with my progress. I'm still struggling with one of the MCs character's names too. He started as CK, then I changed it to TK (Tristan) but now I'm not convinced about it either.

I need a name that suits him. What would you call a 25 year old actor in supernatural/fantasy TV show who is well known for being the quiet, cool, mysterious type but is really just terribly introverted? He joined the cast at 19 under less than favourable circumstances and fell in love almost immediately with one of his co-stars, Noah Archer. I just need a name that feels satisfying and I say it.

The other two main characters, Noah and Ethan, I'm happy with their names and everything else, but I can't get over the other one... More name searching is going to be required.

I'm looking forward finishing this story and diving into The Elemental Bride (working title,) my FM fantasy romance. I started writing that for fun while I was finishing Good Boys Break Your Heart and only managed to finish the first draft a few weeks ago. There is a lot of work to do when it comes to the main plot and conflicts of this world I've built on the go but I'm confident I can do it and it'll be epic! 

I am also considering releasing it in instalments, which makes me really excited about designing the covers, even if I'm not the best at it, but beggars can't be choosers and given the state of the world right now, it's not like I can afford a lot of extras.

I'm not complaining though, even if I'm not successful yet, I get to do what I love and for that, I am extremely grateful!
