Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
On December 29, 2021, the Indian Health Services (IHS) published a Dear Tribal Leader Letter announcing a Tribal consultation on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (P.L. 117-58). Under the law, IHS was appropriated $3.5 billion over five years for the IHS Sanitation Facilities Construction Program. IHS previously hosted an informational session and two Tribal consultations on the $210 million received from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (P.L. 117-2), the $3.5 Billion authorized by the IIJA, and the $2.35 billion currently under consideration by Congress in the Build Back Better Act (H.R. 5376).
